Payroll Manager Location: West Norwood (SE London) - Hybrid, two days office based - 9am to 5.30pm Hourly rate: £26.66ph - £28.20ph Start date: 12th October 2026 Charity | Care Sector Payroll | Temporary (PAYE) Our client, a charity delivering care and support services, is looking for a hands-on, safe pair of hands to take full, sole ownership of payroll: an experienced Payroll Manager with genuine, demonstrable care sector payroll experience. What you'll need Strong, hands-on payroll management experience within the care sector - essential Sage payroll software experience - essential CIPP qualified preferred - exceptional care sector experience without CIPP will still be considered Confident working sole-charge, with no payroll team around you Sona rostering system exposure desirable - you'll work closely with the Rostering Lead to ensure hours translate accurately into pay Immediately available to interview and startCare sector payroll complexities you'll need to know Multiple terms and conditions of employment Relief workers and variable hours Overtime and sleep-in payments Sickness and absence management Salary sacrifice pension scheme Group Life Insurance Monthly payroll processing and compliance requirementsThe role Full ownership of payroll, start to finish, for a care sector workforce Reports to the HR Director and works closely with HR Leads & Rostering Lead Temporary, PAYE Handover from 12 October - current postholder leaves 21 October West Norwood - office-based 2 days/week - 9am to 5.30pm with 30min lunch - 37.5hr weekGenuine care sector payroll experience is essential - if that's you, and you're ready for full ownership of the role, apply today.
