Pastoral Officer Chatham, Medway Secondary School Full-Time Temporary Contract Start ASAP Are you an experienced Pastoral Officer, Behaviour Mentor or School Support Professional looking for an immediate opportunity in Rochester? We are working with a secondary school in Rochester who are looking for a confident and proactive Pastoral Officer to join their team on a temporary basis, starting as soon as possible. The Role You will work closely with the school’s pastoral and behaviour teams to support students throughout the school day. Responsibilities will include: Responding to pastoral and behaviour calls across the school Supporting students with behaviour, attendance and wellbeing Dealing confidently with challenging situations Working closely with teaching, pastoral and senior staff Recording incidents and updates accurately on the school’s systems Supporting students to successfully return to lessons Building positive and professional relationships with students Providing general pastoral and administrative support where required Requirements Previous school-based pastoral, behaviour or student support experience is highly desirable Confident managing challenging behaviour Strong communication and relationship-building skills Comfortable using school systems and recording information accurately Available to start ASAP You MUST have an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with young people and can provide a calm, consistent and supportive presence within a busy secondary school.
