Private Client Tax Manager City | Hybrid 3 days in office Advise international families and individuals, with direct access to the partners Work with a highly collaborative private client tax team at a mid-tier firm, advising high and ultra-high net worth individuals and families on complex UK and cross-border tax matters. This is an advisory-led role for someone who wants to spend their time on planning, structuring and client relationships, backed by strong compliance experience. Why join Advisory-led work. You'll provide practical, clear advice on residency, global mobility, offshore trusts and structures, and international succession and estate planning, not just compliance. Direct partner access. You'll work closely with an International Tax Partner and collaborate with partners across the firm, with a high degree of autonomy and real exposure to senior decision-makers. Complex, varied clients. The client base is international, with offshore structures, dual residence and multi-jurisdictional exposure, so no two assignments look the same. Timely technical work. You'll advise on the new UK regime for internationally mobile individuals, including the 4-year FIG regime, TRF and long-term residence for IHT, and on how it differs from the old non-dom rules. A collaborative network. You'll work with family offices, lawyers, offshore trustees, investment managers and overseas advisers to deliver joined-up solutions. Develop your profile. Benefits include a mentoring scheme, a wellbeing platform, an extra day off for your birthday and a wider perks package covering lifestyle, health, development and finances.What you'll do Advise international clients on UK tax planning, including pre- and post-arrival planning and global mobility Prepare advisory reports on strategic UK tax planning for clients and their offshore corporate and trust structures Advise on de-enveloping and property structuring for UK property held in offshore structures Advise on UK tax legislation changes affecting international clients, including the old and new residence and domicile rules Support clients with HMRC enquiries, settlements and disclosures, including the Worldwide Disclosure Facility Prepare and review UK Self-Assessment returns, including worldwide income, foreign tax credits and double tax agreement analysis Prepare and review non-resident CGT, ATED and ROE filings, non-resident landlord company tax returns and IHT returns for offshore trusts Act as a regular client contact and stay ahead of UK and international tax developments, sharing insights with clients and the teamAbout you ATT, CTA or ACA qualified, or equivalent (part-qualified candidates considered at Senior Associate level) At least 4 years' personal tax experience, ideally in a private client-focused firm or specialist international team Strong grasp of the old non-dom rules and the new regime, plus international personal tax concepts such as mixed funds, offshore trust taxation and private equity executive remuneration Comfortable leading assignments for clients with offshore structures, trusts or dual residence Organised and meticulous, able to manage multiple clients at once A confident communicator who builds trust easily, adapts to international clients and enjoys long-term relationships At Gleeson Recruitment Group, we embrace inclusivity and welcome applicants of all backgrounds, experiences, and abilities.
