Fraser Edwards are recruiting on behalf of a leading Water Treatment client for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a long-term installation and remedials contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Mechanical Fitter looking for consistent, long-term work within the water industry, working across a range of water treatment sites. The Role As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for: * Mechanical installation, maintenance and remedial works across water treatment sites * Installation, assembly and modification of mechanical equipment and systems * Mechanical repairs, maintenance and fault finding * Working from mechanical drawings and technical specifications * Ensuring all works are completed safely and in line with site and client requirements * Completing works to a high standard and within agreed project timescales Requirements The successful candidate will ideally have: * Current Thames Water Pass – desirable * Relevant mechanical qualifications and/or strong mechanical trade experience * Previous experience within water treatment, utilities, industrial or similar environments * Strong knowledge of mechanical installation, maintenance and remedial works * Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings * Good health & safety awareness * Reliable, professional and able to work independently * Own tools and relevant PPE Why Apply? * Long-term, consistent contract * Opportunity to work on established water treatment projects * Ongoing installation and remedial work * Suitable for experienced Mechanical Fitters looking for stability within the utilities sector Interested?
