We are looking for an experienced ER focused HR Advisor to join a large and varied business based in Tilbury. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast paced and operational environment, providing expert support to managers and employees across a diverse workforce. You'll play a key role in managing complex ER matters, supporting business change, and helping to maintain positive employee and industrial relations. Key Details Flexible 36 hour week between 08:00-17:00 Starting salary circa £46k Discretionary bonus 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays Opportunity for progression and development Site based role – own transport needed Opportunity to work closely with managers, trade unions and key stakeholdersResponsibilities Manage a range of employee relations cases from start to finish, including disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence matters Provide practical HR advice and guidance to managers, ensuring fair and legally compliant outcomes Support union engagement activities, consultation processes and industrial relations initiatives Assist with organisational change projects, including restructures, redeployment and redundancy processes Analyse ER trends and recommend improvements to reduce risk and strengthen management capability Support HR administration, recruitment, onboarding and people-related processes to ensure compliance and accuracyExperience/Skills Needed Previous experience in a HR Advisor or Employee Relations focused role CIPD qualification or equivalent HR experience Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice Experience working in and understanding unionised environments Experience managing complex ER casework in a fast-paced environment Ability to coach and influence managers at all levels with confidence and credibility Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills, with experience working to tight deadlinesThis position would suit a proactive HR professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams and managing a varied employee relations workload.
