Site Engineer Location: Northumberland Project: Major Data Centre Scheme Duration: Long-Term Contract Sector: Civil Engineering / Data Centres The Opportunity We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major data centre development in Northumberland. This is a long-term opportunity working on a large-scale, complex construction project, with responsibility for supporting the delivery of key civil engineering and infrastructure packages. We are looking for a technically strong Site Engineer who is confident working on a major construction site and has previous experience across groundworks, earthworks, drainage, utilities and reinforced concrete. Key Responsibilities Setting out and surveying works accurately in accordance with project drawings and specifications. Providing engineering support to Site Managers and Project Managers. Checking drawings, specifications and technical information. Ensuring works are completed to the required tolerances and quality standards. Producing and maintaining accurate site records and engineering documentation. Carrying out level and dimensional checks. Monitoring subcontractor works and ensuring compliance with approved designs. Liaising with the design team to resolve technical queries and issues. Supporting the planning and coordination of upcoming works. Ensuring all engineering activities are carried out in accordance with health & safety requirements. Requirements Previous experience working as a Site Engineer within civil engineering. Strong setting-out and surveying experience. Experience with earthworks, drainage, utilities, concrete or infrastructure. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Experience working on large-scale construction projects. Strong communication and organisational skills. Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience. CSCS. Proficiency with surveying equipment and relevant engineering software. Previous data centre experience is advantageous, but not essential
