Quantity Surveyor - Luton (hybrid) - Up to £80K depending on experience As part of our clients growth, we are recruiting for them an experienced Main Contractor Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a permanent basis. You will work closely with a project management team and take commercial ownership of projects valued up to £15m, managing everything from procurement and cost control through to change management, monthly CVRs and final accounts. You’ll be responsible for: * Leading the commercial management of projects from inception to completion * Managing subcontract procurement, packages and accounts * Producing monthly cost reports and CVRs * Managing variations, change control, risks and opportunities * Preparing client applications and managing payment processes * Reviewing contracts, programmes and potential delays/disruption * Negotiating with clients, consultants and subcontractors * Maintaining strong commercial and client relationships About you: * Minimum 5 years’ relevant contractor-side experience * Proven experience running projects as the commercial lead * Strong subcontract procurement and commercial management experience * Good working knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts * Experienced in producing monthly CVRs and cost reports * Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills * HND, degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline * Full, clean UK driving licence This is an excellent opportunity to join an established, growing business where you’ll have genuine responsibility and the opportunity to make a significant contribution to projects and company growth
