We’re working with a successful and growing business within the financial services sector that is looking to appoint an experienced Finance Business Partner to work closely with senior stakeholders and provide high-quality financial insight to support business performance and continued growth. This is an important role within the business, with responsibility for partnering with key stakeholders across the organisation, providing accurate and meaningful financial analysis, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and helping the wider business understand and improve financial performance. Responsibilities: Acting as a trusted Finance Business Partner to senior stakeholders and operational teams across the business Providing insightful financial analysis and management information to support strategic and operational decision-making Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts, reporting packs and key financial performance indicators Working closely with budget holders to understand financial performance, identify trends and provide commentary on significant variances Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working collaboratively with stakeholders across the business Providing regular financial forecasts and analysis to the Directors and senior management team Monitoring revenue, costs, profitability, cash flow and working capital, identifying areas of opportunity and potential risk Developing financial models and analysis to support business cases, investment decisions and strategic initiatives Challenging assumptions and providing commercially focused financial insight to help improve business performance Supporting the development and monitoring of KPIs and performance metrics across the organisation Working closely with operational teams to improve financial understanding and accountability Supporting month-end and year-end processes, ensuring financial information is accurate, timely and meaningful Reviewing financial performance against budget and forecast and providing clear explanations and recommendations Supporting the development and improvement of financial reporting, processes and systems Ensuring appropriate financial controls and governance are maintained across the business Working with external accountants, auditors and advisers where required Providing ad-hoc financial analysis and commercial support to the Directors and senior management team Identifying opportunities to improve processes, reporting and the use of financial data across the organisation Supporting wider finance projects and business initiatives as required The client is looking for: ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified Previous experience in a Finance Business Partner, Management Accountant, Commercial Accountant, Financial Controller or similar role Experience working closely with senior stakeholders and non-finance teams Strong management accounting, financial analysis and reporting experience Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis Strong commercial awareness and the ability to translate financial information into clear business insights Excellent Excel skills and experience working with finance/accounting systems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail Good understanding of financial controls, month-end and management reporting Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills The confidence to challenge constructively and influence decision-making across the business A proactive and commercially focused approach, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities Ideally, experience within financial services or another regulated, professional or commercially driven environment If you're an experienced finance professional looking for a commercially focused Finance Business Partner role within a successful and growing financial services business, this could be an excellent opportunity to take on a visible role and make a genuine contribution to business performance.
