HEAD OF HEALTH & SAFETY / HEAD OF HSE – LONDON Up to £75,000 Per Annum + Performance Related Bonus + Car / Car Allowance + Free TfL Travel + Pension We’re looking for an experienced and influential Head of Health & Safety / Head of HSE to lead the health and safety strategy across London operations. This is a highly visible role requiring regular presence across London sites. While there may be flexibility to work remotely when appropriate, this is not a predominantly home-based position. Duties & Responsibilities * Lead and develop the Health & Safety strategy across London operations * Provide expert advice and guidance to senior leaders and operational teams * Drive a proactive, positive and accountable safety culture * Monitor safety performance, identify trends and lead continuous improvement * Ensure compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation, regulatory requirements and company standards * Oversee significant incident investigations and ensure lessons learned are implemented * Provide constructive challenge and assurance to operational and engineering leaders * Develop effective risk management, audit and assurance processes * Maintain a strong and visible presence across operational locations * Work collaboratively with internal teams and key external stakeholders You'll Ideally Bring * NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Level 6 Health & Safety qualification * Chartered IOSH membership, or demonstrable progress towards Chartered status * Significant Health & Safety leadership experience within a large, complex operational organisation * Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and best practice * Experience developing and implementing H&S strategy * Strong investigation, risk management, audit and assurance experience * The confidence to challenge and influence senior stakeholders * Excellent communication and leadership skills * A practical, visible and hands-on approach to safety leadership We’re looking for an established HSE / Health & Safety Leader who combines strong technical expertise with the ability to influence people at every level.
