Senior Manufacturing Engineer Location: Glasgow Contract: Permanent | 37 Hours per Week Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Shipbuilding & Manufacturing Excellence An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to play a key role in delivering complex shipbuilding programmes on the Clyde. This position offers the chance to influence the future of manufacturing within a highly advanced engineering environment, driving improvements across production processes, facilities, tooling and manufacturing methods. You will work closely with engineering, quality, supply chain and production teams to ensure products are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate Manufacturing Engineering activities across major programmes. Develop and approve manufacturing methods, processes, facilities, tooling, equipment and work instructions. Influence product design to support Design for Manufacture and optimise operational capability. Support and manage facility investment projects from concept through to commissioning. Analyse manufacturing data, identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Plan, prioritise and coordinate engineering activities to meet programme requirements. Coach, mentor and support Manufacturing Engineering team members. What We're Looking For You will have experience in one or more of the following areas: Manufacturing Engineering Production Engineering Process Engineering Method Planning NC Programming Tooling Definition Quality Engineering Industrial Engineering Continuous Improvement Manufacturing Systems Implementation Facility Investment Projects You should also be able to demonstrate: The ability to interpret technical requirements, specifications and engineering models. Strong problem-solving skills with experience using root cause analysis techniques. A solid understanding of cost, quality, delivery and schedule drivers. Excellent project coordination and stakeholder management skills. A structured and analytical approach to process development and improvement.
