Location: North West London Start Date: January 2027 Contract: Long-term / Full-Time Duration: January 2027 – End of Academic Year Subject: Science Salary: Competitive daily rate, dependent on experience About the Role We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join the school from January 2027 on a long-term basis through to the end of the academic year. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed Science teacher to join a supportive secondary school environment and play an important role in developing students' scientific knowledge, confidence and academic progress. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping students develop their understanding of scientific concepts and preparing them effectively for GCSE examinations. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured Science lessons across KS3 and KS4. Teach Science in line with the school's curriculum and examination requirements. Prepare students effectively for GCSE Science examinations. Use practical demonstrations and investigations to bring scientific concepts to life. Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students with a range of abilities. Establish a positive, safe and well-managed classroom environment. Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback. Support students with SEND and different learning needs. Work collaboratively with the Science department and wider teaching team. Maintain high expectations of behaviour, effort and academic achievement. The Ideal Candidate The school is looking for a Science teacher who is: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experienced teaching Science at secondary level. Confident teaching across KS3 and KS4. Able to teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics to GCSE level, or a strong specialist in one of the three disciplines. Confident delivering practical Science lessons. A strong classroom practitioner with effective behaviour management skills. Able to differentiate effectively and support students with additional needs. Passionate about Science and committed to raising student attainment. Reliable, professional and committed to a long-term position.
