Experienced SEN Teacher - Middle School Location: Shrewsbury, SY5 Position: SEN Teacher Contract: Full-Time or Part-Time Agency: Aspire People Experienced SEN Teacher - Shrewsbury Aspire People are currently seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join a welcoming middle school in the SY5 area of Shrewsbury. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher with strong SEN experience who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and creating a positive, inclusive learning environment. The school is looking for someone who can confidently support pupils with a range of additional needs and who understands how to adapt teaching, learning and behaviour strategies to meet individual needs. The Role As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for: Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons Supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs Adapting learning to meet individual pupil needs Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils Managing behaviour using positive and consistent strategies Working closely with teaching assistants and other school staff Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to individual support plans Creating a calm, structured and nurturing classroom environment The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone with: Strong and recent SEN teaching experience Experience working within a school environment A good understanding of SEND and differentiated teaching Confidence managing challenging behaviour where required Excellent communication and relationship-building skills A patient, nurturing and consistent approach A genuine passion for helping pupils achieve their potential QTS is highly desirable, although candidates with substantial relevant SEN teaching experience may also be considered. Experience with autism, complex needs, SEMH, communication difficulties, learning difficulties or other additional needs would be advantageous. Why Aspire People?
