Job Title: Assistant Planner Ref: BM328 Location: London Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 This is a fantastic opportunity to join an independent planning and development consultancy who provide their expertise to the infrastructure, residential, and commercial sectors. They are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and talented Assistant Planner to join their team in London. Benefits for the role of Assistant Planner include: Highly competitive salary Generous holiday allowance Contributory pension scheme Personal development Professional developmentDuties for the role of Assistant Planner include: Supporting the preparation and submission of planning applications and related documentation Undertaking planning research and reviewing national, regional and local planning policy Assisting with site appraisals, planning assessments and development proposals Preparing reports, presentations, briefing notes and other client-facing materials Monitoring planning applications, appeals and other planning processes Supporting senior colleagues with project management and client instructionsSkills and experience for the role of Assistant Planner: A relevant degree and/or postgraduate qualification in Planning or a related subject Some relevant planning experience, whether gained within consultancy, local government or another relevant environment An understanding of the UK planning system and current planning policy Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent research and analytical abilities Good attention to detail and organisational skills The ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines Confidence working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team A proactive approach and willingness to take responsibility An interest in the development sector and the commercial context in which planning decisions are madeIf This role interests you or if you are interested in searching for other roles relating to architecture please feel free to contact Ben Moore on (phone number removed) or email .
