Well-Established Independent Garage * Based in Dartford * Circa £40k Basic Salary * Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:30pm – No Weekends! * Fantastic Company with a Stable Team Our client, a well-established independent garage based in Dartford, Kent, is looking to recruit an experienced MOT Tester to join their friendly and professional team. Renowned for providing high-quality vehicle maintenance and repair services, this independent garage has built an excellent reputation for customer service and technical expertise. Key Responsibilities: * Carry out Class 4 MOT tests in line with DVSA standards and regulations. * Identify and accurately record any vehicle defects or advisory items. * Perform vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety. * Work closely with the workshop team to ensure repairs are completed efficiently following MOT failures. * Maintain accurate records of MOT tests and associated documentation. * Deliver excellent customer service while ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards. * Keep up to date with DVSA regulations and MOT testing procedures. Skills & Experience Required: * Current and valid MOT Tester licence. * Previous experience as an MOT Tester, ideally within an independent garage. * Strong knowledge of DVSA MOT testing standards and vehicle safety requirements. * Excellent attention to detail and a thorough approach to inspections. * Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team. * Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. * A full UK driving licence is essential.
